Derrida wrote a long essay called "Otobiographies" about what it meant to Nietzsche to sign his name to something, exploring the borderline between the work and the life. In the preface to his autobiography Ecce Homo, Nietzsche says I tell my life to myself. Derrida implies that Nietzsche creates a kind of fictional persona named Nietzsche who is the narrator of his books, and who is different from Nietzsche the man. Interesting dude, Nietzsche.
The internet allows the proliferation of multiple personalities. My own blog, for example, was recently infiltrated by someone who claimed to be ktismatics but who wasn't... I don't think...
the hostility between you two is quite priceless. anyway, my favorite description was that of Marx: he couldn't find a job as a professor so he started a revolution...if i ever have trouble finding a professorship, i think i'll do the same. anyone here familiar with Emmanuel Levinas?

Sadly, I am not familiar with Levinas, except in a general sense....John is more familiar than I....Does Levinas fit the "bad boy philosopher's" profile?
