New Blog: The Big Move

I am sad to close the Theos Project, and I have been delaying this post for quite sometime. Most of you probably know that I started a new blog, A Love Supreme. I felt like I needed a new blogging start and a new forum. It's helped me a good deal. Turns out that the medium is, in fact, the message.

Whereas my blogging at Theos Project was primarily theological, my blogging at Love Supreme is an attempt to blog about a greater number of subjects and to be a more narrative blogger, reflect a bit more on the events of my life. This is a bit of a challenge for me, but it's been going well so far. Blogging at Theos Project put pressure on me to come up with things that were deep or intellectually vigorous, and at the same time, blogging at Theos Project also made me hesitant to blog about myself.

Blogging here at Theos Project has served me well, and I am thankful to all who have followed me here, read my posts, and left stimulating comments. (Never fear, though, because this blog, like all things in The Cloud, will remain online for eternity!)

Thank you and good night,
Jon

P.S. I will still be sharing theological thoughts on my new blog. =)

Which eternity? That is the question, apropos your last statement there Jon!

I'm not convinced that our civilization will necessarily sustain itself beyond the next millenium - some doubt it will make it beyond the next century...

Gonna hop over to your new blog now - was thinking about you today.

cheers,

Daniel

Daniel,

I appreciate being in your thoughts. I hope to hear from you over at the new blog!

Like you, I do not believe we are living in a sustainable situation. Something's gotta' give.

What, specifically, concerns you? What do you see as being unsustainable? And what will happen after a thousand years (or so)?

I don't know Jon, we are living in the last days for sure, but it could still be a long long way til crisis.

How is your personal life, are you thinking of starting a family sometime?

No plans for family. My personal life is going well. I don't know if you caught it or not, but Tamie and I broke up. So, for now, my personal life consists of focusing on my own spiritual development and secondarily preparing for a possible career in ministry. That's where I'm at for now, anyway. So many things are tentative! Right now, I'm thinking of relocating to L.A.

How goes things in your life?

My wife had a birthday on Monday can you believe it I was short with her first thing in the morning and grumpy again late at night! Everything in between was fun though as we celebrated the day. Our two daughters are delightful and doing very well. The little one turns 2 next month, her older sister is 4. There is always something to be grateful for and glad about every day. Marriage is a beautiful thing, this is how I want to carry on! I hope you find someone to share your life with on a long-term basis when the time is right, and to have children too - you've got a lot to offer the next generation and despite what many people these days tend to think and say raising children is the best way to give of yourself.

Good to have the priority on your spiritual growth though that's the fundamental for all of us. Sorry that things didn't work out with Tamie you guys really hit it off I believe, sometimes it's hard to understand why relationships don't last.
