What's better? Chocolate v. Kissing

Dawn says that a good kisser is where its at.

I found an article that says otherwise:

LONDON, April 16, 2007 (UPI) -- A British study suggests that allowing chocolate to melt on a subject's tongue is a more stimulating experience than kissing a sweetie.

The researchers found that when allowing chocolate to melt on their tongues, subjects experienced longer-lasting spikes in heart rate and significantly more intense boosts in brain activity for all regions of the mind than when kissing a lover, the BBC reported Monday.

"There is no doubt that chocolate beats kissing hands down when it comes to providing a long-lasting body and brain buzz," said David Lewis, who led the study.

"A buzz that, in many cases, lasted four times as long as the most passionate kiss."

Lewis said the findings were consistent for both sexes.

"These results really surprised and intrigued us," he said.

You research weird things.

That may be true, but at least I now have absolute proof that kissing is overrated.

I dunno, I don't think anyone's ever said that kissing was better than chocolate...people like chocolate an awful lot.

Yes, they do!

By the way, as I have heard it the couple in that famous picture generously provided in my post of the passionate post-war-parade-smooch - the couple were random strangers. There was no chocolate available, so they did the next best thing. (That last sentence is just my speculation!)

I'm not sure that you could call kissing the next best thing after chocolate. What about Caramel? That stuff's amazing...but there probably wasn't any of that around at the time either.
Besides, eating chocolate wouldn't made nearly as cool of a photo.

I don't know about chocolate being better than kissing. Yeah, chocolate is great! But there is no personal contact between me and a piece of chocolate. I don't care if chocolate is supposedly more "stimulating." I would take a kiss rather than a piece of chocolate any day! Oh, by the way Melody, carmal was around in the 40's. Jon is this study a Freudian slip? ;)

I'm sure there are plenty of Freudian slips in this post. Of course, if there were, how would I know?????

Maybe you can play Freud and tell me all about my slips....

I'm with Lindsay...and I love that pic!

Hmmm. Chocolate is pretty good for the BP too, especially the dark stuff. Now we need a study on the longterm effects of kiss therapy and we could really come to some conclusions!

Whatever be the result, it's time to invest in chocolate.

lol@Lindsay, I meant that there wasn't any caramel available at that event, not that it hadn't been invented yet!
