The Coke Side of Life

"You give a little love and it all comes back to you...
You're gonna' be remembered for the things that you say and do..."

For those of you interested, Shannon McGlothin helped create this commercial. His parents live in Winona Lake, IN and own/operate Grace Janitorial. It first ran during last year's Super Bowl

So that dude is what, the fantasized American soldier who through sheer aggressive presence brings a little love to the urban combat zone? And the cop with the guy handcuffed to his wrist? And the cavalry in the streets? Then the last shot with the chopper dropping down the reinforcements in front of the big Coke bottle? Hated it.

I love it. Here's a purported badass doing good wherever he goes. One immediately thinks of Grand Theft Auto, but then the guy is spreading good cheer and good news by reversing the bad to good. Sheer, aggressive force does not subsume the man in his endeavors. Good twist!

Aaahhhh....so, you are suggesting this is just a piece of Bush pro-war propaganda???

Chris,

I take issue with your interpretation of Ecclesiastes...but not with your bribing of Ktismatics...

Scenario: Someone has a "feeling" of meaninglessness and purposelessness.

Question: Is this feeling tied to anything?

Question 2: If the feeling is not tied to "Glorifying God and enjoying him forever," then is it wrong advice to suggest that glorifying God will "fix" the feeling???
